Amanda is a Legal Administrator - eDiscovery in the Litigation group of the American Electric Power Legal Department (AEP) in Columbus, Ohio. She joined the Legal Department headquarters in 2017. She oversees the department’s discovery matters, from initial collection and strategy through document review and production, while collaborating directly with partner law firms, legal vendors and AEP business employees. Amanda is the corporate legal hold administrator. She also assists the Litigation group’s investigations, including internal document collection and research. Amanda is on the Legal Department Culture Committee and believes in promoting opportunities for people to gather, share ideas, volunteer and collaborate.

Pamela Hutchins, CEDS, brings nearly three decades of expertise to her role as Senior eDiscovery Project Manager at Vorys. She provides expert consulting and support across all phases of electronic discovery, including identification, preservation, collection, processing, analysis, review, and production. Pamela earned her CEDS certification from the Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists (ACEDS) in 2012 and is also a certified Viewpoint Processing, Review & Analytics Admin. She is the Founder and Immediate Past President of the ACEDS Ohio Chapter, where she led the chapter’s launch and growth, organized educational events, and built a strong network of eDiscovery professionals. Pamela is dedicated to advancing best practices in eDiscovery and fostering collaboration within the legal community. She is passionate about leveraging technology to drive efficient, defensible, and client-focused solutions.

Julie Brown

Julie is the senior director of practice innovation at Vorys, where she has dedicated over 30 years to the field of legal technology. With a paralegal degree and extensive experience in both law firms and in-house litigation departments, Julie leads a team of accomplished legal technologists. She is deeply passionate about the intersection of law, technology and leadership. Julie serves on the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) board of directors, ACEDs Global Advisory Board and as ACEDs Ohio Vice President. Julie holds CEDs certification. Julie is also certified in Prosci’s Change Management, the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and Lean Six Sigma.

Linda Wong is the Litigation Support Manager at Porter Wright. Linda is a highly experienced professional with a deep expertise in eDiscovery, forensic, mobile, and cloud collection.. As an e-discovery professional and attorney with Porter Wright, she works with clients to identify, preserve, process, review, and produce electronic data. In addition, she assists in tailoring a workflow and recommending analytics that best fits her clients’ needs to improve efficiencies in the review process. Prior to joining Porter Wright, Linda spent twelve years at a service provider, where she managed large-scale projects and played a key role in developing eDiscovery best practices. Her expertise in the field has been instrumental in helping law firms and corporations navigate the complexities of eDiscovery, mobile, and cloud collection. Overall, Linda's extensive experience in eDiscovery, forensic, mobile, and cloud collection, combined with her unique blend of legal and technical expertise, make her a valuable asset to any team working in this fast-paced and constantly evolving field.

Mike McDonald is a Senior Litigation Support Coordinator at Baker Hostetler. In the 20+ years he has been working in law firms, 13 of those years have been dedicated to eDiscovery consulting and litigation support. He has extensive experience assisting clients and legal teams with data identification and preservation, managing data through the processing phase, and managing complex document reviews and productions. While technically adept, Mike believes the most valuable tools for an eDiscovery professional are effective communication skills, critical but positive thinking, and team/relationship building.

Joel-Henry Mansfield

Joel-Henry Mansfield has over 15 years of experience in the practice areas of litigation and e-discovery, including 4 years at Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co. where he serves as Managing Counsel for Litigation Technology. In his role, he is responsible for overseeing in-house workflows across the EDRM on behalf of Nationwide’s Corporate Litigation Portfolio, and provides legal and technical advice on matters of Data Governance, Privacy, and proposed Enterprise technology pilots. Joel-Henry lives in Columbus, Ohio, where he teaches e-discovery as an adjunct professor at Capital Law School. He is an avid hiker, musician, and amateur board game designer.

Prior to joining JPMorgan, Deb spent seven years at Vertiv, and Emerson Network Power, where she managed Legal technology projects, Legal Operations and Records Management. Lisa Taylor

Lisa Taylor is a Discovery Administrator for Marathon Petroleum Company LP and has been with the company for almost 15 years. She has been in this role for almost three years after receiving her CEDS certification. Her entire 36 year career has been as a paralegal starting in law firms and then entering the corporate environment working in banking, healthcare and then oil and gas. While many people dislike discovery, she actually enjoys it. Her favorite part of the job is problem solving. She feels great satisfaction when a paralegal comes to her with review questions and she can help them filter and formulate a search string that finds the responsive materials. She has been married to Allen for 24 years and they have two dogs. In her free time, she likes to walk her dogs, ride her motorcycle or tear around town in her dune buggy. One of her favorite things are nutcrackers and she has 113. She looks forward to working with the board to continue bringing insightful discussions, seminars and fun social events to the Ohio Chapter.

Brett Burney is Principal of Burney Consultants LLC. Always anxious to encourage legal professionals to take better advantage of the technology available to them, Brett primarily helps law firms and corporate legal departments successfully navigate their e-discovery challenges. Brett co-authored the eDiscovery Buyers Guide (www.ediscoverybuyersguide.com) designed to help small- and mid-sized law firms understand the options available for their e-discovery needs. Brett is also the eLaw Evangelist at Nextpoint where he helps to educate lawyers and law firms on the duties and responsibilities around collecting, reviewing, and producing electronically stored information. In addition, Mr. Burney teaches lawyers how to integrate Macs and iOS devices in their practice and coauthored the ABA-published book Macs in Law: The Definitive Guide for the Mac-Curious, Windows-Using Attorney. Mitch is a partner in Vorys’ Columbus office and a member of the litigation group. He serves on the firm’s drone and autonomous vehicle working group, with an emphasis on energy-industry matters, and is active in the Ohio State Bar Association, Columbus Bar Association, and Federal Bar Association. His experience includes serving as trial counsel in jury and bench trials involving franchise and commercial property disputes, and as first chair in a bench trial and subsequent appeal involving the Convention on The Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction, securing a favorable result for the client in both the trial court and the Sixth Circuit. He also represents clients in arbitrations and disputes involving breach of contract, product liability, construction law, commercial property, and oil & gas leases, including matters before the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Mitch has presented at the OSBA Construction Law Forum CLE and has defended a Criminal Justice Act client in a Sixth Circuit appeal and petition for certiorari to the U.S. Supreme Court. Mitch completed a four-month secondment as in-house counsel for a firm client in 2013, supporting a business division across a wide range of legal issues. He earned his J.D., summa cum laude, from Capital University Law School (Order of Barristers; Order of the Curia; National Moot Court Team) and his B.S.M.E. from the University of Rochester (Phi Beta Kappa; Tau Beta Pi). Before joining Vorys, he worked as a mechanical engineer, including designing high-capacity vehicle scales and co-inventing U.S. Patent No. 8,353,388—experience he leverages in defending product liability matters.
